Hello,
i need somehow to decompile swf file and keeping the actionscript in it. I need to change the images(buttons) of the player. The controls are on separate SWF file. When i decompile it with Sothink SWF Decomplier, change the images and publish it to swf file the player don`t want to start.



Can somebody help me with this.
i didn`t have the *.fla file

Without paying for a full version of a decompiler, I don't think you're going to be able to get at the actionscript, most of the freebies do NOT decompile it.

Without the FLA file, you likely won't be able to do this.

I haven't tried this sort of thing before. But I think its too much effort (or costly) to attempt what you want. Why not just re-create the flash object?

LadynRed i have the full version of the program... when it decompile the file Sothink SWF Decomplier makes *.flp *.fla file and about 10 files *.as (the action script), but the problem is that the script is not in the *.fla file. After i made the changes and publish the *.swf file it is only flash animation with buttons but there is no action script in it.

I tried somehow to import the *.as files but i hardly find where to put the code.

I tried also making changes opening the *.flp file then choosing from package the *.fla file and then making changes, but the result is the same.

The action script has to be attached to the frames in the FLA in the right places. This is why the decompilers aren't all that helpful unless you know exactly what you're doing.
