And how they are supposed to scroll?
There is not attribute which make links scroll.

PHP Code:
<marquee>link</marquee
makes a text, link or whatever moving.

Marquee can be additionally be styled with moving speed, width of the moving text etc etc
Give it a quick google search "marquee" and you find something nice for you on demand.

I'm sorry , maybe bad title, not actually scroll as in marquee, but I have embedded links with in a body of copy, and the whole column should scroll (IE6) but the links stay in place while the rest of the copy scrolls.

make any more sense?

The problem is the position:relative on the <a>'s - why do they need that anyway ??

One other thing, you cannot wrap an H1 inside <a> tags, the code is invalid. If you need to put an id on the h1, put the link INSIDE the<h1> and add id="name" to the h1 itself.

there are no position:relatives anywhere in the document.

Also, I was using the <a>'s as anchors, didn't use that idea anyway.

I have to links at the top, they appear to be stuck too while they're backgrounds go

Try setting the containing div (the one that scrolls) to position:relative.

LadynRed the savior again!

worked perfectly, thanks. ok well not perfectly, upon load of the page, it now says,
Quote:
IEPNGFix: Children of positioned element are unclickable.
<DIV id= content>
obviously that has something to do with the png fix. maybe save as transp GIF instead?
