As the title says, I need a search engine. It needs to support many pages, and preferably, cut & paste. Here's some criteria that I'm looking for:

- Cut & Paste (Optional )
- Easy to install & get working
- FREE
- Javascript < A MUST, I don't have PHP, CGI, Perl, whatever. I know Javascript works though, so that's what I need.
- Preferably no "Site Search Script by Bob Smith" copyright thing, but it's okay if so.
- Don't need to sign up, and don't need to "Put in your e-mail, so we can send the script to you!" garbage. Another way to say "We're gonna spam YOU!"

Here's some I've already checked out, to no avail.

http://javascript.internet.com/misce...te-search.html < this one I just don't like period.

http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...e_search.shtml < works with Google, my site isn't good with Google. Won't work.

http://www.tipue.com/ < Need to sign up for it. WILL NOT.

AND MORE!

Thanks!

Also, I need some business on this forum post. It wasn't ever really noticed...

Thanks again!

Google's Custom Search element will probably do the trick:

Mmmmm... I like the size of it, but I can't get it to work right.

What am I doing wrong? What do I do - from the start the script it gives you? I have no idea

DigitalStax, You beat me to that response... I'd add that when using Big G's search engine you can also earn some change (hands off free extra money) by signing up for Google Adsense and adding the search box from within your adsense account.
