This should be shamefull for M$ as they came up with the marquee thing in the first place. I have created a fading marquee with strictly css html and ofcourse the all powerfull png format M$ problebly hates as it aint their format:

All works works well in all browsers except in IE. That's pretty strange huh?. Please review my following code and please tell me what I've done wrong....

Note! If people would like to have this code and images. I provide this one for free.

Also! If someone knows a good javascript to make a real banner and just a marquee wich starts at first point and end at the last point (leave me with a dead white space) please tell me!

Specifies the speed in which the text in the marquee moves. Possible values are Delay or Amount

The speed is not the problem. I just placed IE 8 in compatability mode and all of the sudden it works.

I'll just leave it with that. It's about time that M$ cleans up his act and their browser (cause boy! Is IE 8 full of bugs....)

IE8 is supposed to be far more standards compliant than it's predecessors, and for the most part it is, but to even think that a MS product, especially it's browsers, will be bug free is naive at best. However, I don't see running IE8 in compatibility mode.. making it work like IE7, is all that great, why not just run IE7 ?? Do you have hacks in your css ? The marquee tag is deprecated. Why not just use a normal scroller, there are a lot of jQuery versions.
