These are the links I used. The second link produces the stretched picture.
Both tested on IE6, IE7 and FireFox.
All web pages deleted before the test.
Tested on several pcs including one that had not been used before.
No change in picture.
This is an email I received from a board member of this client. I can not seem to reproduce the problem she is seeing. I tried explaining to her about caching, she refuses to refresh the browser or to simply right click and refresh the image in question. I also tried explaining that having www in front of the domain doesn't matter, they will look identical. She's essentially driving me crazy. The client is not seeing it and I'm not seeing it.

My question is, does anyone see this image, on this page in this skewed manner?

My question would be - what are her display settings on these pc's ? It almost looks like an odd size, wide but short. I'd ask her that question, see if she can change it to a standard 1024x768 and see if the image is still out of whack. I'm not seeing the distorted image at all on any browser, which makes me think it might just be her pc's settings.

Here's why I don't think it's that...
That's not the image that's supposed to be there. It's supposed to be a cropped down version with a completely different file name. What I'm seeing is the full size pop up image squished into that space.

Ah hah.. ok.. I wondered 'cause I saw the cropped down version.
What version of IE or what browser is she using ??? I've never seen a lightbox image displayed like that.

She said it all looks the same on her computer in IE6, IE7 and FF.

I think she had the bad luck of looking at the page (and subsequently getting the page cached) right when I was reuploading files yesterday morning. Because she refuses to refresh the browser(s) a time or two or refresh that particular image, that is of course only a guess on my part. The actual clients (the President & Vice-President of the Club) don't see the problem, I don't, you don't...I think she's just being a pain in the rear.

Is their anyway to check that in IE5?

Another reason why I think it's a frickin' cache problem is that she is also missing the 1st photo on her page which is what I was adding at the same time I was changing the 2nd photos file name.

Then I agree with you, most likely a cache problem, and 1 CTRL+F5 would probably fix it immediately.

The only way you could check in IE 5 might be browsershots or netrenderer.

Evidently they can.
I haven't heard anything from her since I requested a 4th time for her to refresh her browser(s) a time or two yesterday. I even went into detail and explained that I thought she was probably loading the page on her browser(s) right when I was changing and re-uploading files. We'll see if I hear anything Monday...
