What are your favorite Free HTML Editors and why do you like them best?
Nothing to complicated, but something that you can grow into with time.

Blumentals editors are not free but worth every penny. I've used WeBuilder for several years and would gladly pay them double what they sell it for

I use Notepad++. Completely happy with it. I wish it had an upload/FTP management system like Dreamweaver has..

I have to edit in Notepad++ and upload in CuteFTP.. isn't there anything which combines both in one? a light solution.. not something weighty like dreamweaver..

I am always use notepad. Really its very simple and easy to use.

I recommend Notepad++ - great editor, lots of useful plugins and other stuff.

I personally like Textpad. It's shareware, and you occasionally get this little reminder which isn't a big deal anyway.

Umm, actually it does...

Just look at the menu bar then go to:
Plugins >> FTP_Synchronize >> Show FTP Folders

Works great for me, I use it all the time.

How about Adobe Dreamweaver CS 4?

i never even new there was a notepad++ i just use the original notepad.

++ is awesome. It's so me... lol

I use Notepad, Alleycode (gives 1-click access to 5 browsers) and CodePad (integrates HTML Tidy).
I think Kompozer is dead.
Pagebreeze didn't last 5 minutes on my system (XP); it crashed repeatedly.
Evrsoft sucked.
