Hello everyone, I am a new web designer and I need help with something, I work at a small bussiness computer repair shop, and I am designing the webpage, I already have done 2 other webpages. The thing is that i need something to make the product listing easier. The way it is set up you have the thumb of the image, below is a button to view ( bigger image and specs of the product) and then the buy button, what i want instead of makeing a seperate page for each item is something that pops up so that the page doesnt go to another page kinda like a lightbox script or so. Perferably make it so when the mouse hovers the image something pops up and their u have the larger image and the specs. What ever will work tho, if anyone has any idea on makeing this proccess easier it would be much appreiated makeing 379872348972384072394823742908324 pages is getting kinda tedious.

So, you need something like Graybox or ThickBox, which are designed for anything inside a modal window, not just photos.

Have you databased everything? It would be one way NOT to have to create a separate page for EVERY item. You would create a master display template page and then just fill it with content depending on the item called from the database.

It sounds from your message like you have hard coded everything and that is just plain nuts if you have a lot of products. I'm curious why you didn't use one of the available shopping cart scripts? Even if you aren't selling online, you could still use them as your base of operations code.

The think box will do, as for the database i dont have a database or anything like that i made a masterpage i just copy and past onto a new page fill in the data and all, still more than needs to be done. Havent learned databaseing or anything like that still on HTML/CSS stuff. Learning as i go :P

I cant get THINKBOX to work or Highslide, i dont know what im doing wrong...im a little rusty on this stuff, i did however get lightbox 2 to work but its not what i want. I kinda want is those advertisments and marketing on sites but turn it into non advertisement...basicly need to code and implement it in the html code. for example http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ if you hover over the double underlined words in the body of the page it pops up something. but i need alot of room at the same time

what do you guys think is best for this...other than just another page and linking the image to it, thats what i have been doing so far and like i said its varry tedious and time consuming...and im kinda on a deadline
