Expandable flash banner

Hey guys,

I run a forum based on IPB script. I have recently received an offer of placing an expandable flash banner on my site. It was supposed to have 100px of height and, after placing a mouse coursor over it, expand to 400px and cover everything that is below it. Just like that:

However, I have no idea how to place it in the header. After setting the height for 400px it tends to show 300px of empty space which will be filled in after the banner is getting expanded:

On the other hand, while setting the height for 100px, the width channged automaticaly to 150px (out of default 750) and the banner got exactly 25px of height.

I have no clue how to get it properly. I have tried everything I could. I have read somewhere that I need to put it into divs, set the absolute and code everything in Java script. I don't know how to do it, though.

Will you help me placing the banner correctly on my site?

All you're going to do is show us an image? That doesn't help us determine what is going on. What we need is the actual site, so we may see the code. If you have a test page which demonstrates this, now is the time to give us a link.

Sorry for the false start. I hoped it is a kind of a common problem and you may have the solution prepared.

Anyway, this is the code I am trying to insert on my site:
Code:
<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwav...ave/cabs/flash/swflash.ca" id="projekt6">
       <param name="movie" value="projekt6.swf">
       <param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
       <param name="quality" value="high">
       <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
       <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="samedomain">
       <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cg...ownload/index.cgi?P1_Prod" name="projekt6" src="http://przegrywarka.pl/images/projekt6.swf" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" quality="high" width=800 wmode="transparent" allowscriptaccess="samedomain">
         <noembed>
         </noembed>
       </embed>
     </object>
And here is the sample page:

What I would like to achieve is to make the banner expand over the cookie monster image so that it covers his head. Is it possible to obtain?

easy, put the two objects into their own layers. Cookie monster first layer, banner on the top. Finished.

Oh come on! Cookie monster was just an example of content of the page!
As I've shown on the screen, the forum should be covered by the banner. I cannot put the whole IPB script into flash player...
