Hi, I am just in the process of building my first website and had no problems uploading to the web via FTP. I have now incorporated jquery into my code and I find i cannot upload my pages at all! I am receiving a 403 access denied error message. When I test my FTP set-up it is fine and I have checked that all links in my code are pointing to files that I am uploading but still nothing and it is driving me mad!

Ive atached my 2 HTML and CSS files, the .js files i have are these:

function.js
jquery-1.3.2.min.js
jquery.galleria.pack.js
jquery.js
jquery.min.js

Please can anyone give me any advice on why this is happening and if I should be blaming these jquery files I've downloaded!

Thanks
nikki

Uploading files of any type will not have any effect on the FTP communication protocol, meaning anything may be uploaded. It is up to the server whether to accept, but there aren't any valid reasons to not accept JS files, unless you're on a free host that has weird rules like that.

That isn't something we can just guess at. We would have to see the page in question to be able to evaluate this.

Sounds like a browser settings problem more than likely. Depending on how you put it on your page, your IE settings may be blocking it. But as Wayfarer said, it would be easier if we could see the actual page.
