I need help on trying to find what I'm wanting.
I think the easiest way I can explain this is with a simple scenario, I have an A4 sheet of sticky label paper. I know the dimensions because you get instructions with it and usually you are required to use software like Publisher/Scribus or Word/Writer to create the labels and print to this paper. It's also made easier with the amount of label formats they have plus the ability to create custom formats.
Just note that's just a simple scenario, a real scenario is of an A4 sheet with complex requirements of filling a blank box with an address, maybe further down the page, insert text into a blank line, etc. So basically filling in a paper version of a form using a printer but the data being HTML. And also to note, I may have 25 different forms each with different requirements which is why...
I don't actually want to manually write a CSS media stylesheet for printing, I'm looking for an existing solution or something that does similar but may require modification so I don't spend as much time as I need to do on it.
Right now I'm looking at templating systems, however they are more HTML orientated than to creating printable media, but with (a lot of) modifications and maybe a strip down of the features they'd provide something I'd want... but I'd prefer if there's an existing solution before I start hacking at something that wasn't specifically designed for what I had in mind.
So any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
MC

I am well recognised for what I don't do than what I do. Chores are just one of those things.
