Having an issue with communitycredits.com especially the "join now" http://communitycredits.vbarterdev.com/join.html takes years to load in IE8 but has no issues with any other browsers. The IE counts thousands of items on the page while loading. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have to agree with thewebtaylor... IE has a lot more problems vs most other browsers...

I always use 3 - 4 browsers per time for different tasks and I can say IE is the least stable and slowest one

We are having so much trouble with IE8 locking up our computers at work that we had to remove it. Trying to get to the Adobe website (pretty common) caused everyone's pc's to crash - but IE7 works fine. So we had to remove it...

While most of you are correct, I don't believe this is a problem with the browser. First of all, it took close to 7 seconds to load the page in firefox, clearly something isn't right. When I tried loading the page in IE8, it said in the bottom of the browser (Loading 2800 items). That's HUGE, which also tells me your code, especially your javascript, needs some optimizing.

Right off the bat, that page has 13,000 lines of code, which is ridicules for a form. I think you should do a trial and error, starting with the head of the page. Take things out, one at a time, and see how IE8 responds. Once it stops trying to load 2,800 items, then that's the culprit, work from there.

Also, try working to get rid of that horizontal scollbar.

chris has a point too... from my dependency your load for join.html is about 400kb and html component itself accounts for 144 kb
