Hello,

I've developed a flash piece on my home page that I plan to take live soon.

However, today I noticed that some of the elements that work properly in IE do not work in Firefox.

For example, when clicking on a button that opens up a new url and window, it doesn't work at all in FireFox, but works in IE 7. What gives?

I think it might have something to do with cross domain issues FireFox. The .swf is being loaded from a media hosting service and being embedded into my html which is hosted on MY server.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Mike

Shouldn't make ANY difference to the browser at all. Have you checked the security settings in the Flash file?

Hi Lady,

Thanks for the response. For the actionscript, I've used

var allowScriptAccess = "always";

However, it still doesn't seem to work in FireFox to open new browser windows.

By the way your new avatar is a kinda freakyy.

I will see if there is another security issue I am unaware of addressing.

Fixed it, and it was cross domain issues, maybe even relating to security, I dunno.

Thought I would post in case some kind soul has the same problem.

Here's my solution save this code:

<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="media_service.com"/>
</cross-domain-policy>

as an xml file and place it on the root level of your html directory.

Then upload the swf to your server and load the media files from the media server.
