Hey guys and gals

I have been going through posts to try to give a little instead of just asking for help but the questions are a little tough for me tonight.

Here is my problem. This page
http://www.bmcoll.com/petpics
is a new section on my site
It seems to look great in firefox ,chrome , ie

But in opera it is all screwed up. the other pages on my site look fine.

also when I view the code in opera it does not show the correct doctype it just says <!DOCTYPE HTML> but it is xhtml 1.0

I have made small changes to the code for 2 hours and can not seem to get it.
I would be grateful for any help.

If you see some extra table tags I amy have not taken them all out as I have added them to try to make it work same with divs

I still have had no luck with why it is screwed up only in opera.

or why the indenting is gone from the code when viewed in opera.
I am about to give up and hope all my users use something other than opera. LOL

By the way does being a mod keep you busy here? I am a mod on a smaller forum and it gives me something to keep up with we only get about 70 posts a day not the hundreds that show up here.

that is very strange. Lucky that opera isn't that widely used. Maybe a whole re-build of your site is in order

Sometimes. We have a good crew of mods here, so no one is overwhelmed.

I can't tell you why Opera is having problems, but I have to agree that clearing up the errors in your code,and maybe getting rid of the tables would help. Even tables for the thumbnails isn't horrific for what you have there, but they need to be done correctly.

In my defense I have been tearing apart the code and by now Im sure the tables are messed up good. I will rebuild that page and see what I get. Most of it php so the small part thats html wont take that long.

I have rebuilt this page 3 times tried to format witout tables and every other thing I can think of. Looks great in IE ,FIREFOX ,CHROME,

but still sucks in opera I give up.

got it working in all browsers with css no tables.
