Hey people.
I want an image to be displayed on a seperate part of the page (in a table or something) when someone rolls over a link. I know it can be done, but i dont know how.

Yea.. can be done..

So you would have the image..

<img src="" id="pic">

Notice the id that is then used to set the image in the link..

<a href="somepage.htm" onmouseover="pic.src='imagename.jpg'">

So when you mouseover the link the source of the image will change

Thanks. Works like a treat.

Some more questions:
1) How do I prevent people from 'maximizing' the page? I have it so that there is nothing there but minimize, maximize, close and my site. I need to stop people from maximizing the site.
2) How do I stop people from Save As... (in the file menu, to save webpages)?
3) With .gif images, very time I preview my site in IE5.1 some/ all of them appear a funny dark colour. What is wrong with them?
4) If someone types a certain address of my site like www.xeno.me.uk/home.htm (that isn't my site...yet) how do I make it so that if they type that in, it redirects them to my index page. The home.htm page needs to be accessed but not by typing it in manually.

There is no way to disable the maximize button... But what you could do is have an onload effect that resizes the window...

<body onload="window.resizeTo(Width,Height);">

Theres NO way at all of stopping people saving your pages..

Also no way to stop anyone accessing home.htm by typing it in the addy bar..

As for the images no idea what could be wrong... Maybe get an example and post as a new topic..

I think he just wants the code for the re-direction.

It's some javascript. I can't recall it right now. If someone has it handy plz post.
