Heya, I'm having two problems with my site that need fixing:

1. On IE 6 & 7 my horizontal navigation bar at the top shifts 2px up leaving a gap between the tabs and the cream coloured line it's meant to join onto. How can I fix this? (Btw I used sprites.. somehow need to shift this down).

2. Secondly, IE 7 and IE 6 both make my left-hand sub-navigaiton links format differently, I used line-height and this pads my blue link boxes out in firefox, IE 7 seems to ignore it and IE 6 even more so. I want to use conditional comments but how can I style these so they look the same as how they appear in firefox/safari/chrome/IE8?

For both problems you have to use padding.
1 - add 2px of top padding on the UL
2 - add equal amounts of top and bottom padding on the <a> to fill the space.
