I have an image and want the user to be able to point to various parts of the image and see a tooltip with info relating to that particular part of the image.

The way I'm going about this is simly to create a hotspot on the image in Dreamweaver and then give the hotspot a title attribute with the info I need. This works OK, except for the fact that the tooltip only appears for a couple of seconds.

Is there a way to alter how long it appears for?
Or is there a different (but easy!) way to do this?

Here's an e.g.
http://www.mymusictheory.com/hotspot-test.html

If you point at note no.4 you should see a tool tip, but it disappears too quickly!

The method can be achieved with Java I believe - try googling Java Hotspots or Ajax Hotspots

I never use Bing but I just went and had a look - Yes that would work but how do they do it?

I'm beginning to think I'll probably try to do it in Flash instead. I only know very basic stuff about javascript and nothing about ajax and don't really want a load of bulky code in the page.

Chris since when was Blackpool in Yorkshire?!
