Since the blink tag only works in certain browsers, make a animated gif that blinks on and off and use an image link.

why try and do it then? it's intensely annoying, amateurish, deprecated, doesn't work in ie... need anymore reasons not to do it?

it might cause epileptic seizures if it's at the right (or rather wrong) frequency, or break the internet
