The <font> tag amongst other things and Hello!

Hello All,

At College I was taught to develop all my web code in Notepad rather than any WYSWYG Editors such as Dreamweaver. I very much like my code to be cleanly written as it can be rather than lots of unnecessary code in there. Its been a while since I have needed these skills although they have never gone from me. I recently set out at creating a webpage for my first ever iPhone App (RouletteAid). After a few refreshers I found that the <font> tag is Deprecated. My question is do Web Search Engine Crawlers frown upon this kind of thing? I presume that the <font> tag is still widely used . . .?

If anyone wants to pass comments on the site design please feel free to do so . . .http://www.rouletteaid.com

Thanks :-)

Nothing at all to do with Search Engines.

Does the Bot/Crawler not look at the code behind the site for certain things?

Id have thought that because the Crawlers/Bots only see the code they would know to look for certain patterns . . . I'll have to post in another sections of the other forum about questions relating to my SEO. Thanks

you should try to keep your code valid though. Instead of <font> do it in css:

Code:
<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;">HELLO WORLD!</span>

Well, there are lots and lots of fanciful theories to distract you with trivialities.
