Hey all..
I need help for making a textbox fixed in size..
What i mean is in a multiline textbox, there will be two cross lines to the bottom right, using mouse the textbox size can be changed.
I tried fixing the position, bounding textbox from all sides.. But none worked.
Could any one know how to solve this.
Is there any solution for this or it is the property of a textbox and cannot be changed?

There is no "multiline text box" in HTML. A text box (<input type="text" ... >) is a single line element only.
The length of this can be adjusted with the size attribute, which is in character dimensions (size="3" means 3 characters will be visible).

Or are you referring to a <textarea> element?
The size of this is specified in the rows and cols attributes.
rows="nn" being the number of characters high and cols="nn" being the number of characters wide the element is.

Thanks for replying chrishirst,
Multiline textbox can be selected by using "Text Mode" property...
To make understand the textbox which we reply is not fixed..
To the bottom right we can find two cross-lines. there the textbox can be resized but for that small instant.
Once we reload, it will be to its initial position.
I dont want that to happen even for the first case..
Please help if there is any way..

What "crossed lines" are we discussing here?

And where is the "TextMode" property?

OR should I assume that this is in some as yet unspecified WYSIWYG editor?

Seems i am confusing you.
Once look at the quick reply--- textbox below...
You will find two lines to the bottom right...
using mouse the text box size in which we type the text for reply can be changed...
