I noticed that a video that appears on a site I designed (http://psychicdeals.com) works great on IE and Firefox, but does not appear at all on Google Chrome. The video is in .flv format and the player is something I found for free.

1. Is there a video format that'll work on all browsers to which I can convert my .flv video?

2. If so, what would be a good player to use (free if possible...for pay if not) that will, importantly, not play the video automatically but only play it when the play button is pushed?

Flash should work in all browsers.

Thanks for your reply. I'm wondering why it's not working on Chrome but is working on IE and Firefox? If anyone had any ideas I'd appreciate your feedback (it just comes up as black on Chrome).

I figured it out. The problem was that my old player (ivc_flvplayer) wasn't working on chrome. I replaced it with the commercial version of flowplayer and now it works fine on all browsers
