Other than what chrishirst said the site i learned basic html from was lisaexplains.com and i also learned some html from w3schools.com and Tizag.com.

For easy HTML tutorial I suggest you to visit the w3schools website. As this website has all tutorial about html,xml,xhtml,php from beginner level to the expert level with easy to understand pattern.

You can find over net many sites available for HTML tutorials. I would like to suggest join html forum for this.

I think tizag.com and pagetutor.com are your best bets.

I use http://w3schools.com/ a lot. There are guides and also references on the web site. I found this site has everything I need for HTML and other web related techs.
