I use flv personally never had a problem and plenty of people are downloading it so it is widely used. Its free and works great but thats just my opinion.

Well Chrish has provided a really good reference link to get a full knowledge regarding flash. I am sure you will get clear with that link.

I used to use this, until they pasted the CC noncommercial license to it. Shame.

YOu can also download the free 30 day trial of adobe flash. Hope this helps.

This may be a drastic solution, but new html 5 standards includes in-board video codec that now dont require flash! Great thing since flash is one of the most energy consuming thing for laptops
