I'm trying to build a site which would display a different page as its homepage every day. The site basically provides a daily devotional of which i have a few hundred so I was hoping there would be a way to only show one of these a day, changing every day and moving through all 365 of them over the course of a year.

My initial thought was to somehow link a database containing all the different content pages and setting up a site in such a way that each day displays a different individual devotional, but I have no clue how to actually set this up.

Please help with any html code or alternative solution you may have!

Not possible with html. This post to a scripting category. You dont need a database. The easiest way would be to dynamically include the daily devotional content via a script that does the rotation.

How do you have the daily devotional content stored on the server?

I'm pretty novice in web design, i've been able to get by usually by simply using a combination of Microsoft Expression Web, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Photoshop for most sites i've made. So when I got this project I simply began transferring the devotionals from Microsoft Word into individual html pages. I quickly figured out this would not be functional with what I needed to do with them so here I am with no idea how to build or utilize a script which will automatically rotate content.

I'm sure most people on this site have much much more expertise with these things but unfortunately I haven't had much computer programming training. Please help!
