Hi everyone I'm new here and also new to being a webmaster and I'd just like a good place to start to learn how to make my own layout contact form and custom website over all and most likely using HTML since I've been told it is the simplest coding language to learn. I've searched around on this site and I haven't found anything that isn't over my head so I'm sure one of you guys has a solid starting point for me to take a look at maybe a tutorial website or something similar would be nice. Thank you in advance.

There is no "most likely" about it!

It is the ONLY language you can use to create websites.

So you can start Here.

Whats your goal with a website? is it to learn computer languages or make money or write?

Setting up a blog will get you instant access to beautiful themes for free. Its not worth wasting your time learning coding and designing your graphics when it can be free.

Ridiculous attitude. IF you want actually UNDERSTAND what's behind the pretty pictures on your screen, then you MUST LEARN how to make it. The OP clearly needs to learn.

I highly recommend this book:

The Missing Manuals are the best instructional books I've found. The Dreamweaver, CSS and PhotoShop ones are excellent. Just a shems they don't do one for Flash cos the Classroom in abook series are poor.

As already posted,
Visit Tizag and read through the tutorials, It has examples and hands on stuff to do.

Once you have done the HTML, CSS, PHP tutorials you will be VERY well equipped.

Its not a "quick" fix, But it is cheaper and MUCH quicker than doing a class.
