I have a forum, and I would like my users to be safe, so I want to add a feature that will "rename" links. For example:
www.google.com
to
www.myforum.com/out.php?url=www.google.com
I want the user to see "www.google.com" when they put their mouse over it, but I want them to get to "www.myforum.com/out.php?url=www.google.com" when they click it.
I have read this
but I have no idea how to make it:
But how to get I get to be something like
redirect 301 /*.* www.myforum.com/out.php?url=*.*

Any help is appreciated.

I wouls just change your links to www.myforum.com/out.php?url=www.google.com and have "out.php" redirect it to Google.

What forum software are you using? Probably there are mods to do this.

some browsers block the status bar from being changed using javascript by default now.

but window.status = 'message'; will set the ones that don't
