Flash will not become obsolete just more integrated into the web. You will still need the Adobe Flash program to create interactive videos and if anything it is the current standard format for online video in terms of use, compression and so forth. I don't forsee Flash going away anytime soon.

Flash uses H.264 compression for videos and H.264 can be played also with HTML5 code. And for interactivity, the following sketch tool is created in HTML 5: http://mugtug.com/sketchpad/
