I really like html5, but the technology is still a long way away from being used widely because of limited technology.
Html 5 still has issues with mobile devices and the fact that people still use internet explorer 6!
This will really hold back html 5 for being a serious tool, and will leave html 5 as the preserve of entertainment sites visited by people would powerful laptops and desktops.
6% of our visitors still use internet explorer 6, and we havbe to code our web pages to cater for them. We had huge issues recently of a simple css dropdown menue that works on all browsers expect ie6, and we decided to abandon the project because we couldn't afford to list business from the 6% of people who use IE6
