Global Web Browsers, what are they?

Hey Guys -

I am designing a site for a global company. They have offices all over the world: North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia (India, China, Japan).

The browser stats on w3 seem to be geared towards North Americans.

Does anyone know about any global browsers I need to check for compatibility?

Thanks!

What are you going to do if you find some obscure stats that shows 0.1% of users are running Netscape 4.01?

I'd ignore anything less than 1%. Stats say that only 5% use IE6, yet that is the browsers that most companies (my company included) use. Therefore, I want to design for anything 1% and above.

"Most companies" are NOT using IE6 with stats at less than 5%.

A really annoying thing about the area that I live in: many of the larger companies, normally responsisible for advertising on websites, run machines with XP and a branded IE6....
