I am in the very early stages of redesigning our home page. The drop down menus are falling behind our rotating images (slide show). Z-index does not work.

Any suggestions?

Other people may have the same problem and could benefit from your experience.

This could be anything, depends on whether the slideshow was Flash or not -- a simple search of the forums turns up numerous similar posts!

It was actually a wonderful person in Portsmouth, U.K. who figured it out. I was trying to use the z-index in the CSS and it wasn't working. He said to do it this way in a <div>:
