Hi guys,
I have a problem with a page of mine. I inserted some pictures and scaled them down in the css-stylesheet. When I know want to print the page using file-print, the images are displayed far too big, so obviously not scaled down. How can I fix this problem?
Thanks a lot!

With a graphics tool.

HTML/CSS only makes images fit into a given area, it does NOT resize them.

If you scale the images down in the CSS the original huge file size will be downloaded each time someone visits. This has many implications not only with server response, server load, hosting space etc. You should not really consider this as an option. Chris Hirst is correct you should use an image editor. There are many free options including:

i think you should try this one Another option is to make sure the printer dialog that you did not select fit to paper . If you use a larger than 11x14 media, then select fit to paper the impression is growing on the fly. Hope this helps.

Hi,
You can scale down your images in css style sheet
but the image must be properly cut with image editing software
and then scaled in css this is proper way of doing

Rather than dynamically scaling down the images, i would suggest to scale the images using some offline tool like photoshop and then use them.

If there are way too much number of images, do a batch scaling or batch automation on photoshop using actions.

warm regards
Josh
