First off I want to say hi to everybody and i do hope to get to know many of you. I am very new to the scripting I have went through html, xml, css, and java tutorials in the last week through another website. I think im learning alot im sure if you looked at my site in my signature you would probably laugh at my attempts lol. Right now I am stuck though I have a img link i need beside my content box and i can not seem to figure out how to get it there if you could look at my site in my signature and give me a idea on how to get it beside my content box i would be very thankful. The image link I want beside the content box is under it scroll down on page to see it let me know if ya can help

P.S none of the links on my site work as of yet its only a day old :P

Ok so you're trying to get that image to float to the right of the boxes with the text in?

You'll need to wrap the image up in a div and float it right, something like this:

<div style="float:right">
<a href="http://buzz.igg.com/gw/7083222" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://img1.igg.com/9996/buzz/2010/06/01/900467586.jpg" border="0" /></a>
</div>

You might have to play with the widths to get it right, and remember to clear the float if you've got more content coming afterwards. And try and put your styles in a separate stylesheet rather than in your HTML document.

I think you can use a table as well.

yes you could head back to the 1990s and use tables. Things have moved on since then, and for good reason too.

I agree with the float:right div and an "a" tag over the img.

Tables wouldn't be the best option. The best way would be how edgray suggested.

Ok, so if you're just floating the image, why do you need to wrap it in a div? Why not just float the image itself? I wouldn't add extraneous markup when it's not needed.

Just got home from work tryed what ya said and it worked perfect cant belive it was that easy. Guess ill learn alot as i go wont forget that though lol.

OMG.. NOT the deprecated <center> tag! Use CSS for centering - check our stickies for how to do that.
