Facebook button problem

Hello,

i created a group on facebook and i would like to add a Like button to my website.
For this i used this link: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/...e/plugins/like

Here i pushed the Get Code button and received and embedded a code to my webpage (what i am running from a computer for now, so there is no web address). When i click on the Like button a blank facebook page comes up and the url is different.

Any ideas?

I think you have to edit the " href - the URL of the Facebook page for this Like Box " part in that so that you can embedded your url in so that the like button can work perfectly. For more details you can also go through this link which gives you an entire idea regading the same
developers(dot)facebook(dot)com(slash)plugins?foot er=1
and get the entire stuff clear for your self.
Best Luck

can you give an example of the embedded code?
Without having a valid URL for the page, what did you submit?

This is the code:

<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like...&amp;height=60" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:225px; height:60px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

And this is the link to the fb group:

Do you have to be a member of that group to see it?

OK, start all over again. I checked the facebook link again: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/...e/plugins/like

It says: URL to Like.....wow, i have just noticed that there is no Like button in the group. So if i want a fb page, its not a group is should create, but a new account? Will it have a like button? I dont understand this...

however, i made the group be open for everyone, not working still. Maybe because of the loss of like button.

Update: I sent the link to my girlfriend and it showed her her own groups...so the url i copy from the browser is wrong!

Hi guys,

i created a facebook fan page, which has a like button. First step is ok
then i used the linked facebook page where i created a like button html code that i pasted into my website...not working... i also tried to modify the url in the code which causes a huge fb button and a freezing window when clicked on it...
i have no idea why the given html code is not working..

Facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Bud...70024196360265

And the code the earlier mentioned page generates:

<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpage s%2FBudapest%2FBCD_demo_Beauty_Palace%2F1700241963 60265&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=true&amp; width=450&amp;action=like&amp;colorscheme=light&am p;height=80" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
