Not sure it this is the right sub-forum, but I am completely non-technical, I use a WYSIWYG program from my webhosting co. and a couple of months ago I noticed that my website was taking ages to load on IE, in fact it just 'hangs'. There was never a problem before with IE. Could anyone advise?
Its loading fine on Chrome and Mozilla

As far as I know I haven't added any special features/widgets which would cause a sudden slow down. It just seemed to happen overnight with no reason

domain -www.thailandhilltribeholidays.com

Thanks in advance,
M

It works fine in IE for me but there are HTML errors which would affect rendering (not dowmloading) - get all errors fixed at least, but as Chirs implies, try to get a better way of implenenting the pges - the source code is old and nasty.

Thanks Paul, yeah I know its advisable to find a better way, I just haven't had the time to look at other options (ie: hiring web designer). Sorry may I know if you're using IE 8 or 6? Cheers,

IE6 ??????

It is a TEN year old browser which NOBODY in their right mind or with any choice is using anymore.

Get different hosting and use a basic CMS to run your pages from.

Hello Melissa,

You have 61 errors and 2 warnings, if you go to this link and place the URL Address in the validator, they give you an explanation as to what's wrong. Like Paul said, the coding is old.

YSlow may help you find out what is causing the problem. Maybe a request error that IE is waiting on or it could be a file must load first and it has a big file size. Whatever the reason is, you could use firefox yslow addon to see what request is causing the delay and how to improve your load time speed.
