I'm stuck on where to go with the following HTML email. It looks fine in gmail & hotmail. The line-height is not correct in yahoo, but I can deal with that (Although suggestions are welcome!). However, when I pull up this email on my iPhone/iPad, the header image is showing correctly, but the rest of the email is "stretching" wider than 600px and disregarding the 10px margin on the right side of the sidebar. How can I fix this?

Did you try changing your margin settings to padding?

It looks fine to me. Remember, when users are looking at the email, unless something is just totally noticeable, they won't see a small margin error of 10px. Maybe 25+ but 10, not much.

Your issue might not be code, but the way the HTML was rendered in the email. Like you said, Gmail and Hotmail were fine, Yahoo and iOS caused some issues.

The screenshot looks fine to me. Email text does not look stretched. I dont think you have to worry about it.

It looks fine to me but I understand what you meant in that you did not want that margin spacing. For iPads and iPhones, you should take note of their resolutions and cater your HTML work around them. That said, it might affect your desktop viewing experience if you alter it that way.

When it comes to email, you do not have as much control as in a regular web page. Once it's sent, it's no longer in your control. The only issue I would worry about is if the message becomes unreadable.
There is an initial-scale meta tag property that you would normally set in a regular web page. That's not the case for emails.

Emails can be rendered differently based on the email-client-sender you go through. Support for CSS can vary a lot between email-client-sender, and even different versions of the same email-client-sender.

Campagin monitor has a great Guide to css support in Email.
