Hello I am new to this forum. I am not sure if this is where I need to ask the following question.

I am looking for a way for our logged in members to type information on one box then have it shown on the bottom box. Sort of like a forum thread.

Is there a way to do this using only a HTML form?

No, it's impossible to dynamically change anything on your site using only HTML. It requires some work on the server side (HTML can only affect the client side, e.g. the browser), which is normally done with a language such as PHP.

An iframe doesn't change anything. You can do it with or without an iframe, but you must still use some server side language.

Great, is there an example here on this forum? I get the SSL stuff but would like an example of how this is done preferably in an iframe.

Want a user to type information (nothing secure) into a box then have it displayed on a bottom box or table on the same page?

That is a very vague description. Sounds like you want a guestbook?

Please understand, that when given so little information people will tend to ignore your posts. Beacause they can't help you without simply guessing. You'll get better response on your questions if you clearly describe what you actually want.

I apologize for the vague description. I'll try my best to make it clearer.

1. Yes, it does sound like a guestbook.
2. But without the feedback form going to an email address.
3. I need for logged in customers to place their info about a particular subject on the top box or space...Like the title of this form.
4. Once this person is done (clicks on submit or the enter key) we want that same information to populate on the bottom box. Once this bottom box has say...more than 30-40 entries they need to be deleted. Like the box on this form but with the ability to have it auto delete after so many entries.

It think what I need is a PHP script or maybe coldfusion?

It's more like a forum but without all the rest of the stuff. Our customers will already be pre-registered with their own login user name and password.

Now that I think about it...could be sort of a chat room?

The common name for what you are describing is a "Shout Box"
