Hi there people, I am new to the web building lark!

I have managed to get a copy of Dreamweaver MX and want to get a book to help me through the program and hopefully build myself a good looking website!

Any suggestions on a good (but not too expensive) book I can purchase that speaks in plain english so as not to confuse em too much!

sams teach yourself 24 hour series html (there is a js one as welL). Assuming you are a complete beginner. I borrowed these from the libary so it didnt cost me a penny.

I agree with walker, the sams book series are reall good for beginners. You may also want to look at the '... for dummies' book series as well.

I bought "HTML 4 for the World Wide Web, the fourth edition" several years ago and fell in love iwth the author, Elizabeth Castro. 19.99 USD at the time. I coudn't tell you what it is now....If it's even still sold.

Another good website with Dreamweaver tutorials is www.webthang.co.uk.

They cover all sorts of topics including how to get started using databases.
