Because I am not very good with cgi or php .. I know how to design templates ... but not scripts.

I have yet to find a good flatfile site search script. Even if you are familiar with Perl/PHP configuring such scripts can be tricky and time consuming. I would suggest that you think about using the Google site search script which is free and super easy to use. The only catch is that you have to put a little Google logo on you search page. Also if you aren't looking for a search script to do anything too complicated you might consider just creating a sitemap page and linking to the rest of your website that way. You can also submit this to search engines for bots to index your site faster.

good suggestion ... I still wish I could find a search script though. It is easier for visitors I think.
