I have made a template with SSI with .shtml.

When I would use .asp or .php I could use a print/variable command to put the title of the page above the includes so that when the page was loaded on the web, the information placed into the variable at the top of the page, would be printed into the title tag area when viewed.

Is there a way to do this in .shtml files?

If not a .shtml code, is there a simple and usable javascript code that will do the function i'm looking for?
