After looking at in a smaller browser window, I am not sure what you are seeing that you don't like. I actually think it looks better in a smaller browser window because it brings some of the floating elements together. You have alot of Java Applets in the page which take some time to load, you might reconsider this.
I would reccomend that you try adjusting the various parts of your page around to fit smaller browser windows since the majority of users still have smaller screens than bigger ones.
