I believe using the TARGET="_parent" should work?? If im reading your post right you want the whole page to change when user clicks a link inside the IFRAME ?

i have a javascript drop menu at the top. when a choice is clicked from the menu, i need a new page to load that has an iframe. but i need what is clicked to load in the iframe
well i blieve as the target u put the name of the iframe---if u named it "myframe",
than it would look like this:
<a href="mypage" target="myframe>, and so on
oh..ok i see wat ur saying now...i think...the only way u would be able to do that i think is through a form? u basically have a drop down menu w/ a couple different links that r pointing to the same page that has this iframe...and if u click "link1" than u want the "link1" page to show in the iframe that a new page loads? is that rite? ya i dont know how u would do that
You want a page to open with the target site in an iframe eg;
link says google.com, click, page opens with Google in an iframe. right so far ?
where's the problem?
you have a page with google as the source for the iframe and open that page. Or have I missed something?
