I want to ensure my site has maximum compatibility, which means testing it with IE5. Anyone know where i can pick up a copy? (Microsoft, understandably, seem intent on only letting you get the newest versions of IE)

Also, will IE5 sit happily alongside IE6? (or can they be forced to do so?)

Remember that there is no way to have IE6 and IE5 installed at the same time. You will either need to set up an old PC to do the job, or you can get a copy of VMWare (http://www.vmware.com/) or Microsoft's Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx)

both of which you need to purchase a license before you use along with a full install & licensend copy of windows

there is a link on evolt called 'standalone ies', got ie5 form there, unzipped (no install req.) and run it.

works fine alongside ie6
