Hi, im doing a new design for my website, its a very busy site but with a really lame design, not my coder is doing a whole new design with code, will my traffic and pagerank go down or doesnt it matter ?


Of course he keeps all the keywords and stuff.

Pagerank has little to do with your site and everything to do with backlinks from external sites. As for traffic, a new look may please existing visitors but it's hardly a traffic magnet unless it's an especially supurb piece of work. Even then though, the extra traffic is likely to be webdev peers checking out the spunk.

if you change filename of any webpage, or its location, the pagerank for that page will be reset to zero.

Like if you redesigned a page, for example, www.yoursite.com/contact.html and renamed it to something else like www.yoursite.com/contactUs.html
As long as you dont change the name of the page, it shouldnt re-set to zero on the page rank
