i have a problem with my site. Im creating tables with pictures which should be against each other so that you do not see a line or border. Now check out:

i guess you get my point. does anyone know how to get rid of this stupid white space between the table row's.

Hi,

Pretty common problem this, but usually easily resolved. Try changing your markup from this:

<td>
<img src=top1.jpg>
</td><td>

To this

<td><img src=top1.jpg></td>

What is happening is the new line you have created for the <img> tag generates the white space. By placing everything contained in the table cell on the same line, you eliminate this space. If you are coding in notepad, don't worry about text-wrap as this still counts as only one line.

which should of course be
<td><img src="top1.jpg"></td>

or, to be even more correct and comply with WCAG guidelines on web accessibility and assist the rendering in the browser and comply with XHTML1.0 should be:-

<td><img src="top1.jpg" alt="image description" width="img width" height="img height" /></td>

I KNOW - everyone hates a smartarse - but I couldn't resist the temptation!
