I am working on a directory and for some reason the pages won't load in IE or Slimbrowser but they load fine in FireFox.

The main page is at http://www.BestHealthDirectory.com - This loaded in all browsers but the category pages like http://www.besthealthdirectory.com/cat.php?id=1p1 or even the standard pages like http://www.besthealthdirectory.com/privacy.php will only load in FireFox. In IE and Slimbrowser we are getting "Page cannot be displayed" errors.

Any clues to the reasoning behind this?

**Please note ... the links above are the only current active links other than one other category page http://www.besthealthdirectory.com/cat.php?id=16p1. So if you click on any of the categories listed on the main page ... they will not work.

Go to validator.w3.org and try to validate your pages. The index page is not valid: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...directory.com/
I suspect that other pages also are and this is the reason of wrong displaying. And it is nothing to do with PHP. BTW, requesting http://www.besthealthdirectory.com/privacy.php from validator says 404.

I can take the best pages on the net and put it through that validator and it will come back with errors! Even Google is not "valid". The pages coding and everything seems to be fine. The validator just tells me stuff like MARGINHEIGHT attributes are not allowed and no TOPMARGIN allowed when they are .... and they are not errors. That system is pretty much useless in my mind.

Any other ideas?

Plus normally FireFox shows that bad coding. I mean something can look totally fine in IE and then in FireFox it doesn't load right at all. So I don't think the coding is the problem. Although I could be wrong.

BUMPING ... any other suggestions?

The main url http://www.BestHealthDirectory.com has three errors ... which aren't even errors

When I run the category through ... http://www.besthealthdirectory.com/cat.php?id=16p1 in the validator I get a "404 Not Found" Some people are able to view it in IE but I am not ... everything loads fine in FireFox. Any clues?

I just tried to submit the directory to Yahoo and Yahoo is saying

Your submission request was not accepted because:

The following resulted when trying to access your document: timeout

Please correct and resubmit the form below.

Any ideas? It works fine in FireFox

Why not use CSS when working with body attributes. TOPMARGIN in the <body> tag is taboo. But that shouldn't stop people from viewing those pages. I can see nothing wrong with them. Withouht being able to see the actual pages that they are linked to, then we can't really figure it out. Why not use a CMS instead? They are much easier.

The error was in the coding. I had the main file called cat.php and it needed to be index.php. It is now working in all browsers.

Thanks
