Hi there everyone, this is my first post and I'm happy it's on WT.com!

Anyway, I download a template of some site and it came in PSD format. Everytime I open it in photoshop and save it, it never saves as a webpage, it just saves as one big picture.

How do I save it so it has the links in it still and everything eles.

Thanks

If it's a .psd document, that's all it is - one big picture. You will likely have to slice it up into sections and write the html/css to go with it.

you need to convert it to slices, use Frontpage or dreamweaver to place all the content, save page as htm or html and hopefully you are done

Easy way to check si to go to the VIEW menu at the top, make sure VIEW SLICES is checked.

If the template has already been sliced, then go to FILE --> SAVE AS WEBPAGE ---> make sure you save as HTML and IMAGES. You could save it just as sliced images, but then would have to piece it all back together again....jigsaw!

If the .PSD doesn't have the slices aready in place, then you need to learn how to slice.....can be a bit tricky but isn't rocketscience....let us know.
