Alright I've got a BIIIIIIG issue.

I just bought a domain with hostin from 1 and 1. Now, this is my fault for not looking more carefully at detail, but the package that I got does NOT SUPPORT php. The whole reason i got it was for people to upload videos that they need hosted. (Using their browser)

Since I cant use php what do you guys suggest I use if anything?

I got it three days ago... I'll talk with my dad when he gets home about getting a refund.

Unless there is any way I'll be able to let people upload videos that will work with the package I have.

do you have FTP access mate?

Maybe they could upload them via FTP to your account and then you link them on your main site?

Just an idea

Good luck!

There's several ASP upload scripts that'll do the job on a Windows server. Just use whatever server-side language your account does support.

If your more comfortable with PHP though, refund is your only recourse. However there may be issues regarding your domain name. 1 and 1 may have locked it or they may not transfer the domain to you since your asking for a refund.

Send them an email and tell them about your position. If they're a customer service based company, I'm sure they'll only be happy to work something out.

First of all, I have 1and1 and have been very happy with them.

You should be able to go into the control panel and add the features you want (PHP) or change your package altogether.

Well,

I took your advice metho and emailed them. They said, as I figured they would, that I would have to fully upgrade the package to business.

So I'll keep the domain and hosting and work with html... then see if I can work out the money on my own and then upgrade the package.
