Hi, i've just created this page: www.stigmatizedesign.com/osfptest/news.htm
and i need to make the news section updatable by an administrator who knows nothing about web design (like myself). how can i do it so that he can log into an online page and automatically update it, and then the existing news items move down one and the new update appears at the top? is there some sort of script available for this?

There's no 'script' that can do what you ask. Your after a content management system with a WYSIWYG editor or at least rich text editor. Any solution to this problem will require intermediate developer skills to install a CMS solution or money to pay someone to do it.

Alternatively you can look into a WYSIWYG editor such as Dreamweaver to update and upload your pages.

A good CMS to start with is fckeditor (google it), however you need scripting skills to integrate it into a server-side application.

There are plenty of news scripts in existance. Just check over at HotScripts.com. A very easy to use, manage, and configure one is called Cutenews. I use a highly modded version of cutenews to run my blog.

As with WaHoOoO!, I recommend CuteNews as well. It comes with a detailed readme that explains the installation in depth. It is very easy to install and very easy to use.
