Hello everyone,

Most likely my questions will sound a bit obvious for you guys, but still I’d really appreciate if you help me out with this.

1. <!----- ----->
You view the source of HTML doc and find the code above. What effect does the code have?

2. In your own words, what are metatags? How could they get abused and what would you do to stop it?

3. What is the purpose of the following image, found on a page in the hypothetical site www.maindomain.com?
<img src="http://www.anotherdomain.com/image.gif?track=6bb3f01axu7Y&aid=00995"
width=1 height=1 border=0>

4. Name two ways to employ CSS to change the appearance of a block of text.

Thanks in advance,

Leni

Its just used to enter comments that are not displayed in the browser.. such as notes about the layout so you as the webmaster can remember things. The correct way is <!-- Your comments here -->

Meta tags are just used to show the author of the webpage and a description and keywords.. although most modern search engines such as google dont bother with them now.. but still worth using for the older search engines.. More Info here

Thats just most likely some sort of way of counting the number of hits on their site and other information.. probally using php.. so that way everytime the image is loaded it records it as another hit. Or to track the pages that each visitor visits during their stay.
