i am currently trying to create/ remake my site and i have come across a couple small problems.

if you look at my site http://cahd.atspace.com/new/index.html on the left where it says navigation, does anyone know how to make the words into individual buttons without making seperate images?

also below that on the box that says "links" you will see some text below, can someone tell me how to get the text onto the image without the following

<table>
<tr>
<td background="image.gif">

if i have to do it that way is there a way to do it without changing the size of the image, because if i do use that code and make it as a table background it only shows a small portion of that image.

i am also open for any other suggestions

thanks

First of all, unless you have a perfect or very proffessional site, then you can get away with using buttons for a menu. The rest of the time, you always use text links. Make them stand out and have a simple continuous menu background, perhaps a liner gradient (vertical). There is no way, that I know of to make the text look like what you have and just appar on the buttons. Remember, the current fonts that show up properly are found in the font rop down of the post box.

You can use layers and CSS to put text onto an area without tables, however this can be time consuming. Using layers and CSS is endorsed by the W3C. And why not use a table, all you would have to do is slice the current image into smaller .gifs and then insert them into tables.

Visited your site http://cahd.atspace.com/new/index.html. Looks like you have a broken table or something...
