How do you take a content box to become were it can be expandable when someone types in it with out it breaking?

the only area that allow typing entry are textareas and text or password inputs.
A textarea will scroll if the text overflows the visible area and the text input will flow the text up to it's maxlen.

So maybe I don't get what you are asking.
